4H is based on a "learn to do by doing" philosophy. At its core, 4H is a grassroots organization of leaders building leaders.
The four H stands for head, heart, hands and health. In Ontario, 4H members ages 9-21 come together with volunteer leaders to create a 4H club.
where members learn about a selected topic through hands on activities and mentorship. In the Cloverbud Program, youth aged 6-8 work with volunteer leaders on a variety of units, giving them a 4H experience over the course of a year.
In East Carleton there are a variety of agricultural and life skills clubs that run each year. Clubs found in our area include dairy, beef, sheep, field crop and various life skills club such as square dancing, fitness, gardening, cooking, baking and sewing.
At this time there is not a Cloverbuds Club running in East Carlton.
